Pink & Blue The Country Club of Orlando Wedding

Pink & Blue The Country Club of Orlando Wedding - Winter Park, FL & Orlando, FL - January 18, 2020

Featuring Chanel Lauren & Timothy Strates Magid

Tim & Chanel’s wedding was every bit as vibrant and joyful as the couple themselves. I had the unique privilege of working alongside my dear friend Joanie Stoddard, owner of The Tiny Orchid Co., to design the stunning pink & white floral arrangements that adorned the wedding.

Highlighting Joanie’s Phalaenopsis orchids, we used gardenias, peonies, garden, classic and spray roses, hydrangeas and ivy to complete the floral décor. Joanie is Chanel’s Aunt and was by her side for the entire planning process. These two have the most darling relationship! It is always a joy when I get to work alongside friends.

The ceremony was held at the Knowles Memorial Chapel at Rollins College. The stunning chapel, rich in history, boasted towering cathedral ceilings and stunning ecclesiastical architecture. Chanel was a vision in white and beamed as she walked down the aisle escorted by her father.

The bridal party was outfitted in a lovely combination of robin’s egg blue and navy dress wear. The hot pink roses popped against the sea of blue.

Following the ceremony was the reception, which was held at The Country Club of Orlando. A sophisticated palette of navy, white, pink and gold dressed the reception hall tables. Stunning arrangements of draping Phalaenopsis orchids, hydrangea and ivy towered above tables, alternating with short gold vases bursting with orchids and pink roses.

Chanel and Tim capped off the night with dinner, dancing, and of course - cake! Guests packed the dance floor and the sounds of laughter filled the air.

A sparkler sendoff was a befitting exit for this radiant couple. The evening came to a close as Mr. & Mrs. Magid drove off into the night in a sleek black convertible.

Intimate Alfond Inn Wedding - Winter Park, FL - 8/15/20

Featuring Ashley Duz and Lewis Naylor

Ashley & Lewis exchanged vows before an intimate gathering of their friends and family at the beautiful Alfond Inn in Winter Park, FL. A sophisticated palette of blush and white set the scene for an elegant and romantic celebration. Bride Ashley was positively glowing in a brilliant satin and lace gown with a matching chapel length lace veil.

The ceremony was held in the conservatory of the Alfond Inn. Pedestals of overflowing blush and white floral arrangements paired beautifully with the floating candles and white rose petals that flanked the aisle. A heartfelt exchange of vows before their closest friends and family was sealed with a sweet kiss!

Lewis & Ashley’s intimate wedding is a wonderful reminder that a small wedding does not mean you have to sacrifice on style or sophistication.

The Perfect Piece: EllieClaire and Scott’s Summer Soiree

Sometimes, the most meaningful weddings are those that have elements that come from the heart. And none was more special than EllieClaire (a wedding photographer!) and Scott’s July wedding at St. Lukes Lutheran Church and Interlachen Country Club in which EllieClaire’s mother, Madeline, gave her talent and love to the couple’s special day.

Madeline, the mother of the bride, owns her own pottery company, “Mad Made Pottery” (an adorable play on her name!). For the wedding, she created specially made pieces that brought a beautifully organic feel to the day and Lana loved creating floral that would be showcased in these vessels.

Not only did they grace the tables for centerpieces and were used as unique container for cocktail tables, but the head table boasted a handmade vase for each bridesmaid to display her bouquet which was then given to each of them as a gift.

The bouquets and arrangements used a plethora of delicate garden botanicals that was simply stunning! The blend featured: white veronica, quicksand roses, blue delphinium and blue thistle, dusty miller, white peonies, white lisianthus, white ranunculus, Queen Anne’s lace, white majolica spray roses, white O’Hara garden roses, Italian ruscus and seeded eucalyptus - what a fabulous fusion!

The color scheme was a graceful combination of white, cream, soft pastels, and greens with subtle pops of purple - perfect for a mid-summer soiree.

Lana was privileged to work with Madeline on EllieClaire and Scott’s delightful day. And she will always remember the skill and affection that went into it as she enjoys the beautiful owl vase and footed compote she received as a thank you!
